The post is permanent but initially to be filled up on temporary basis Pay Scale: Rs.9,300-34,800 (PB-2) + Rs. 4,600 (Grade Pay) (T.E. Rs. 30,441/- Approx.) + TA and HRA as admissible. General Central Service, Group B, ‘Gazetted’, Non-Ministerial. Age*: 30 yrs. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Bachelors Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognised University or institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years professional experience in a library under Central Government or State Government or Autonomous or Statutory organisation or Public Sector Undertaking or University or recognised Research or Educational institute. DESIRABLE: (i) Masters Degree in Library Science or Library and information Science of a recognized University or Institute. (ii) Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute. DUTIES: (i) Responsible for operation, maintenance and management of Institute Library. (ii) Assist in procurement of Books, periodical, Teaching, materials, planning and organizing of the Library, Information Centre, Exhibitions, Publication, Advertisement and publicity of Institutes activities, Technical processing of documents, Information and documentation service.
